The EchoTherm HS51 is designed to be the easiest to use and most accurate fully featured stirring hot plates in the world. Temperature measurement of a solution is accurate to 1% over the entire temperature range using a 100 ohm platinum RTD sensor and measurement system. Calibration of temperature is electronic and stored in memory. The calibration is set at the factory but can be done easily in the field using the probe calibration kit offered as an accessory. The chassis on both models is cast aluminum designed to keep spills and heat out of the electronics. They are coated with chemically resistant epoxy based paint for durability.

The Alkali Multi-Position Stirring Hotplates provide simultaneous heating and stirring of multiple samples. The large top-plates feature a durable, chemically resistant, white, ceramic coating that provides exceptionally uniform temperature control up to 120°C. Both mixing speed and temperature are conveniently controlled on the digital display, which also features a safety LED that warns the user when the top plate is hot and unsafe to touch. Three models are available, offering either 3, 5 or 10 position capacity. Each stirring position is driven by an independent motor, providing efficient mixing of sample sizes up to 1000ml. With increased spacing (100mm) between stirring positions, the top surface is designed to accept a wide range of vessel types, including beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks and media storage bottles.

These hot plates are ideal for cold rooms and can be used at 0-27°C with 80% relative humidity, in a non-condensing environment. Stir Trac technology offers improved slow speed stirring, consistent speed control and stronger magnetic coupling from 50 rpm to 1200 rpm. The integral ring stand holder accepts 1.3cm diameter support rod. A single knob design controls heating/stirring and goes up slowly when rotated slowly and faster when rotated faster. The large, backlit LCD display provides constant visualization of the speed and temperature while a safety LED indicates when the top plate is above 50 degree C. In addition, an optional probe is available for applications that require precise temperature contol. When connected, the probe provides direct feedback to the microprocessor, which continuously adjusts and maintains the selected temperature in the sample within ± 0.5 degree C.
